Change is the one constant thing in life and the car manufacturers are the avid followers of this concept. Every new year they come up with some new models and the previous ones slowly get outdated. Similarly, the Mercedes-Benz GLK is no more and it has been steadily replaced by the GLC with pretty good positive response. It is a compact luxury SUV that has been completely re-designed with a new interior and a long list of new features. But there's one question that has somehow shaken them off a bit. Is the GLC a successful successor of the Mercedes-Benz GLK? There have been various studies and test drives carried out at various centers of Mercedes Benz service Greensboro and the experts have tried evaluating this question to some extent.
In the first drive experience, the GLC has been more favorable for the riders than the GLK. There's nothing to be amazed of it, the GLC definitely offers a much handsome appearance than the GLK which had a far more boxy design with some sharp angles that failed to attract the riders primarily. Obviously, it feels great to ride a nice looking sporty car and Mercedes-Benz has always had the reputation of not providing the looks that everyone expected. But with the all new GLC, it seems that they will be able to come over with this, and no one will avoid the Mercedes compact SUV for this particular reason. And more importantly, the GLC has got a huge makeover in the interior of the car which is a great com-back from the cabin in GLK that everyone disliked, not only is the cabin of the car much more roomier and comfortable, the model even showcases a futuristic design and better material as compared to that of GLK's.
Since the 3.5 liter V6 engine of GLK kept providing 302 horsepower, there was one inherent fear among the car manufacturers that the 241 horsepower turbocharged 4 cylinder in GLC300 would give bit of under power. But that fear is long gone with the very first ride of the car. If the little lag that is common to the turbocharged engines is got past, the GLC's 2.0 liter turbo gives no trouble in accelerating to the expected speed. With some more tight corners, the GLC even provides some more up-gradation over the GLK. While the GLK was much more stable and secure on winding the wheels, the GLC is a more fun to ride and those who've given the test drive has accepted the fact that it feels more like driving a C class than just a crossover. Obviously you're driving a Mercedes-Benz, so there's no scope for you to question the comfort that the car provides.
Nothing in this world is free of cons, so is GLC as well. In most of the centers of Mercedes Benz repair Greensboro NC, there have been some issues with the suspension. There are similar problems in almost many of the cars, but compared to high end pricing that GLC has tagged itself, such problems are never accepted by the users. Even there's some disappointment with the performance of the Eco mode as well. Well, at least there's some scope of improvement in the next versions and the people can look forward to something more in the years to come from Mercedes-Benz.
