Very informative.

I spent my first few years being taught the hard-sell with all of its bullying and dis-respectful tactics. It built all of the negative stereotypes. Dealers stopped doing it because they got caught and it killed their CSI, dealer-rater, yelp, and social media ratings not because they believed it was wrong but because they believed that getting caught was wrong. If it worked better than respect and transparency it would still be favored.
