John Ashcroft... "My dad had the foresight and wisdom not to say, 'I just want my kids to be happy.' He realized that the pursuit of happiness for its own sake is a frustrating, disillusioning, and often futile effort. Happiness usually hides from those who are spiritually addicted to its sugar, while it chases after those who make wise choices and who are caught up in something more lasting than momentary excitement."
Happy is a sensation that follows a satisfying experience. So seeking happiness is an empty pursuit! Happiness is not a destination nor should it ever be a goal. We insure a state of happiness by living a life filled with purpose, commendable aspirations and effort. Work or practice or study or even suffering for a noble cause, can make you happy while idleness will most often leave you depressed. Happy is a poor goal because it's such a fleeting commodity. The same thing that makes you happy today may be boring tomorrow! When the enemy tricks you into seeking happy, he almost always leaves you disappointed. So forget happy, be faithful, be industrious, be focused on your life-goal and God's calling; then happy will chase you down and make you smile while you’re still wet with the sweat of the task dripping from your brow. Have a great day and remember... Happiness is hunting you down, anticipating the moment you discover it is about to get you!
