Hello Todd, I agree with your comment about Joe Verde being time tested and proven.
Joe did not get mentioned on the survey ,we believe this is because his company does not focus on internet training or Social Media Marketing. This is just our opinion

Grant gets my vote because he is time tested, positive and has the best on-line training foundation in the business.

With that said, I am curious why Joe Verde is not in this race? Joe is also time tested, and has proven over and over that he is committed to training and changing lives for the better…

I put my vote in for Jim Ziegler. More work, less Flash, more follow through, less B.S. More hands on and more show me, don't tell me! Follow through gets respect...

Vinnie- could not agree more and this little poll is a great really shows everyone what the true problem is. Look at the guys that do social media have trouble keeping a new ball in the air. When you add gravity of having to keep the other parts of your business going and then talk to a business owner about moving into social media - the reality hits and it is showing here in the polls with people unable to push on this and keep their businesses singing...DELIVERY IS WHAT MATTERS. HOW DOES IT GET EMPLOYED IN THE REAL WORLD WHILE KEEPING THE CASH FLOW GOING...

Training is important,

The Internet process is the most Important, CRM traffic mgmt,seo,payper click and lead providers all play a major role. Your team is what matters they can be taught by the greats but if they don't apply what thay have learned you might as well throw money away. I have started many Internet Depts and have watched them grow 100% the reason for growth is each individual contributes a strength and respect of their peers. We can plug each trainer into one of my depts and watch and track their performance it's easy to talk the talk ..walk and talk. I have decided to get back into the Internet Game and start a dept in Southern CA. In order for me to become a better I will go back into sales and learn all over with a new Company. I have been desking the past 4 years before that, I was #3 in Ca "Lexus" Internet Dept. I have watched on the side-lines one of the best directors in the business Dody Abshir Beshoff Motorcars. The basics are still in place however the delivery is what matters. Hire Key people and market strategic campaigns seo,ppc/costco aaa plug in a CRM that is efficient and fast. Ask yourself do we have the right people?

I think it is very telling that less than 10% of site members voted on this poll. It says they are too smart and/or busy to waste their time on fluff stuff like this when there are real issues dealers need to address. Just look at the discussion topics on this site, and see how many have "zero" replies. Seems like almost half. We all know training is important, and most dealers know who the professionals are that can meet their requirements. Maybe the better poll question to ask is "Why has your dealership cut back on training programs?

I get emails saying help the community boost membership, but members will find the site if there is valuable information presented. Most topics focus on treating the symptoms and not on curing the disease. Finding cures is tough, takes time, and often involves implementing unpopular solutions.

If DealerElite wants to be different from the other dealer networking sites then maybe its time to tackle some of the big issues.

Jim and I have several clients in common and they all swear by him and his methods. That aside the Alpha dog is one of the few I see on line when I sign on around 6AM. And yes it is him as we have had several IM chats . Any person who rises when I do and gets to work trying to help his clients at that hour gets my vote. Keep rocking Alpha Dog! I am sure that all the others are deserving as well good luck to all involved!!
