If someone takes five customers in a day and doesn't close a deal, what happens?
When a salesperson, makes 15 calls in a day and doesn't make an appointment, what happens?
When a salesperson, is putting in extra effort, working his day off, and has an 8 car month, what happens?
Remember, enthusiasm comes from within someone’s true feelings for life. Effort, and lots of it, is what we want to see from all of our team members. Persistence is not taught. This is a true testament of a person’s will, to accomplish a goal.
Do we have reactions or interactions, when this happens, to our teammates?
Dealers and Managers, play a huge roll on how they handle people when this occurs.
True story, a running back, set a college rushing record in Sun Devil stadium; he only played the first half. He got an injury in the first half, rushed for 249 yards. The coach, doesn't acknowledge, the record. He states, if Marcus would have been in better shape, the game might have had a different outcome. This was one of the best running backs in the country. The coaches response, was so hurtful to this running back, he was never the same.
Be that coach that everyone loves to be around. When things aren't quite right, teach with more enthusiasm, give that vote of confidence that everyone needs.
REMEMBER: When you pass out their pay slips, it doesn't have a column of how many customers they talked with, how many phone calls they made. It states, gross pay and net pay after taxes.
SO WHO IS KEEPING SCORE?

Jay- Thanks for looking at the archives. That makes my day.
My dad always preached " If you say 1 negative, you must say 3 positives"
People need to hear that they are doing a great job, even if they already know it.
