I would love to be able to share my thoughts about the way the current market conditions are. The way to be the most effective in this industry is remembering 3 things: policy, procedure, execution. Sales Managers and Sales People often forget that this business changes on a constant basis, the things that might of worked in the past won't work today. I know some dealers who spend 40-50k in advertising money and won't get over 150 people walking in the door. Every customer that calls in, sends in a internet lead, walks through the door is a dollar amount. For instance if you spend $50,000 and in a month you see 150 customers, that's 334 dollars per customer. If you close 35% of 150 that's around 53 customers, you lost out on 47 customers and lost $15,698 before seeing a profit. The point to this is making sure you profit on a daily basis, a lot of dealers are becoming volume based. They forget that money keeps the dealership alive and running, not selling 200 cars and losing a average amount on most of the vehicles. I tell new sales people that I meet to remember that gross is great, greed is good. What I can bring to DealerElite is identifying the way the car business is in current market, I'm only 28 years old, I'm young and I feel that I have a great sense of this business, I can bring a new ideas that aren't the same old ideas and tactics.
