Hello Fran,

There are of course all sorts of trainers out there in the automotive industry and elsewhere. There are also lots of ways to look at the same problem. I have purchased products from a number of trainers in the past and have even seen them live as well. I like what Elise is saying and I think video is a great tool when used as part of a process. Proactive Dealer Solutions and out team of trainers do train Salespeople at dealerships and Sales Managers as well.

Our focus is BDC's because over 20 years of working with dealerships we have been able to get real results with Sales Service and Internet BDC's. We do work with some dealerships who have a Hybrid BDC setup and I worked at a dealership for many years who is currently still tying to make one work.

In terms of our internet process we are a phone first company and we use a scripted approach with calls email and messaging. We also have the tolls and the numbers to back up our numbers. We also have dealerships who use video and chat and even social media tools as well.

I think your question is what is our process and how is it different from everyone else. Well we have a 120 day process that we run every time. We have worked with thousands of dealerships and we currently represent some of the largest dealer groups in Canada and the USA. In addition we have a team of trainers who work with dealerships every day.

We also have software that our dealerships and trainers use to document and get results over time in the stores.

Anyone can make claims, some people can even have great video's and presentation but very few can actually document real results in multiple stores over time.

This is the difference between solutions and "training". There are some great trainers and some who are not so great. There are great motivational speakers and some that are no so great. You can train people for months even years in some cases, but if the results do not appear what is the point.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for the comment and the feedback, I appreciate it. I will of course be putting together more video's and blog posts over time that will dive into these areas.

Make it a great day and keep training, keep having an impact and keep learning....

Ian I'am wondering what trainers did you help and what you did to help them? To much junk training from people that talk general info and not the how to info. This separates the real trainers from the want to be's . What I and many others like about Elise is she says here is what you should do . Then she shows you how to do it. When she makes a point it is clear that she makes sure you understand how to do what she is talking about. I think this is special in sales training today and we need more of the how to sales training people.

It was never my intention to attack anyone, just to get professionals thinking about process. Any automotive Sales team, service team, and BDC team needs a process and activity to be successful. Technology are just tools to use to leverage a great process.

Process and execution are the key to real growth, not technology by itself.

I have created a new video due to comments made on my last video which to be honest surprised me.

I am passionate about this business and want to help Salespeople, dealers and trainers make Industry professionals better it's that simple.

I am happy to see that you are passionate and understand process.

Keep creating great video's and moving people forward.

Great content and great process will keep the ball moving.

Have a great day!

Ian

Where was the impression that anyone was trying to be a "youtube celebrity" or the jabs at other people "claim" to know what they are talking about.

I appreciate this website to voice opinions, but personal jabs aren't necessary.

Hello Elise,

Thanks for your great video and taking the time to comment on my video. I have uploaded another video that will answer your question. After speaking to a number of people I felt that I needed to clarify a few things, that is why I have created the second video. I love great idea's and just wanted to focus on the importance of a process for everything. I worked in the dealer body for over 10 years and my Grandfather, father, uncle and cousins own dealerships.

When I decided to move into consulting I must say I was surprised with how little process there is in most dealerships. I 100% agree that the internet needs a process and that is why I made the first video. The second one will be up shortly.

I also used You tube when I was an Internet Manager and found it very useful, but only as part of a larger process.

Enjoy the next one....Ian

I would like to know why this video was removed?
