Hi Troy, 

Very well said.   Your videos have always been very informative and I (along with others I'm sure) have noticed and appreciate that you refrain from self promotion.  It's refreshing.  I also agree if someone likes what they see (as far as content is concerned) they will know how to contact you for further information.  Good stuff.

I saw that same video, and had the same thoughts! Thanks for putting this up.

I doubt it will change the self promoters mind, unfortunately they wont see the downside to their tactics.

Be it on a website, blog, or social media people want current relevant content, not commercialized self promoters, if these guys put some effort into their post and brought out some thought provoking  ideas, potential customers would seek out their products on their own. This particular video could have accomplished a lot by simply relating their product to the great Jackie Cooper.

We all have a product to sell, and for some the 7k members on dealer elite are easy targets, they feel they  don’t even have to leave the office to get in front of them, but that’s not why we are all here.

I know this, I have an ever growing list of members I won’t waste my time reading or watching their posts.

Good job!!! I remember nearly 30 years ago you could have a sandwich break at the store and watch"ASTN" ...no...for you young guys..NOT SPORTS...and you could really watch "Jackie Cooper" and great car guys like that...that was one of the ways that I learned this great business!!

I prefer no self promoting forums...I also like specific questions and straight answers on members bios. If I don't see what I am looking for in a bio, I Google the heck out of the commenter.I want to know from what perspective someone voices their opinions. Good video Troy!

I appreciate DE and all that it does for our industry.
