Thanks Michael!

I hope every dealer understands that what we are doing by emphasizing the gender differences is not intended to take anything away from the needs and importance of men, its simply to help them sell more vehicles to women!

Amen

With some female customers, they are scared of being taken advantage of and are nervous to make any decision without consulting someone who knows more about the buying process. Take your time to explain each and every step of the buying process, from the guest sheet to the survey after delivery. Most female customers just dont want to make a mistake, put there mind at ease and you've got a partner in the buying process, not an enemy.

A woman on even the remotest edges of a car deal will either make or break you every time. No matter who they are, always treat them like the buyer.

You are so right! Even if she appears to take the "back seat" in the conversations and negotiations when in a couple relationship, her husband reads her body language and if she is not sold the deal is not going to happen!

Whether she is alone or with someone here is a simple tip:

Give her 60-70% of the attention. Clarify following the needs assessment and do not interupt her when she speaks. Give it a pause when she stops speaking so she can complete her thought. If you jump in too soon or speak over her she will interpret that as rude.

Its simple math - learn how to sell more effectively to women and watch your commission go up.

Thanks Gillion for sharing!!

Vince - you are a smart guy! And you really understand and appreciate the concerns of your customers. Lots of people just don't get that and frankly don't understand her fears and undervalue the power of customizing your approach with women. I bet you do really well.

Thanks for sharing, Delia

As with all my guests, women get treated with kids gloves.  However, I tend to share more upfront info, especially because I KNOW what they are afraid of .....being taken advantage of by the 'car guy'.  I'll hop online to get some info on what others are paying for the car they are looking at, all to be sure they feel ok about purchasing it and not thinking they've 'paid too much'.  Selling Value is a tough thing sometimes, so a more hands on approach seems to let them feel comfortable about the whole process.
