ONLINE VIDEO- The most effective way of selling cars online! Online virtual video verses video demonstrations produced by a sales consultant?

Video with animated voice over technology is a very power and accurate way of posting vehicles.

On the other hand, the enthusiasm of a sales consultant providing a video walk around is truly creating emotion.

Of the two methods provided, what are the pros and cons of each?

I agree watching expense is important. Eyejot is single user. If you figure 6 users the additional features and functions you get the cost is not much more.

If an individual wants to get involved then eyejot with it's limited functionality will work. If seriously making video a part of a dealerships process then an enterprise grade solution is called for.

Yeah I think that video is KILLER awesome! Amazing job with that!

And I think it's great that your dealership uses it a lot. Eyejot allows you to set up the custom pages like yours too (just takes a small amt of HTML know how tho). Maybe because I know how to do that with eyejot I just can't justify the 10,800% increase in price. The eyejot tool (new feature) doesn't just allow you to play the vids on a cell phone, but TAKE the vids from a cell phone! So snapping a 2minute vid of the car the customer wants outside is a snap on the fly. Which I think is just the sweetness...

But none the less, a tool is worth it's use, and it looks like you guys are masters at video and really use it so kudos! Other dealers just getting started may want to try eyejot first to see if they should birth such a large expense. Just my 2 cents.

Eyejot is very inexpensive. We used a pro plus account for awhile but find there is so much more to the quickvid product that eyejot doesn't offer. Like the icon with the person waving, custom templates and multiple generic templates which can all have their own custom links.

These videos will play in iphones, droids and blackberries too.

On their site is a video demo of the back end stuff. No comparison to eyejot.

In addition the management reporting and the ability to utilize with our crm and many other features make worth the price. We have the 6 user plan in two stores.

We can upload HD video and send it out in video email too like this one. It's a fun video that one of our employees (it's him in the video) wrote and we produced in house.

Holy !@#$ that service is expensive. I don't believe video email has to be that much (although it looks great), especially when YouTube is free. I have also used Eyejot very extensively and they EVEN have a new service that allows you to send video emails from your iPhone on the go! Their top level service is only $99 per year!

According to our google analytics the video emails we send have become one of the highest referring sources to our site, second only to organic search results. Below is what our customers see when they preview their email.

Well spoken, and never quoted an interest rate or a low ball special. Great Job!

6 users X $99/yr X estimate $70 per custom template like quickvid / 12 mos = $84.50 per month for eyejot versus $1,295!? And eyejot records/sends video email directly from a phone? I'll take the eyejot all day long. Not saying an enterprise solution isn't great, but it's (to me) like paying an extra $25,000 for a Ford Fiesta just to get free gas and oil changes for a year.

Again just my 2 cents, but I've used eyejot extensively along with my CRM and used its reports and found tremendous results with it. To justify the price difference, the incease in sales of using quickvid over eyejot would have to be TREMENDOUS. I could do way too much with the extra difference in money with other internet marketing efforts that quickvid over eyejot could never justify against.

If you're happy with it, then stick to it! I'm just sayin, that's my experience....

You are absolutely right about the cost difference. And I would agree that an individual with some technical knowledge could use eyejot effectively.

I also look at it like a DMS. Should a dealership use a full function DMS or try to make it work using just Microsoft Office?

Utilizing services and programs that are not enterprise solutions and do not provide for dealership management personnel to monitor usage and measure results is playing with fire. You may be trustworthy and reliable but is everyone? I say trust but monitor.

Most dealerships today have blocks on what can be done on the internet using dealership equipment and networks. There are valid reasons for that. Often times the cheap way is not the best way.

I'm glad you're using something to bring the power of video into your dealership operations. It is undeniable that it is the wave washing over the internet.

Would that somehow diminish the validity of the satements I've made?

Ah okay it makes sense now... you don't mind the $14,526 price difference, because you own it.

Very Nice Mike... The quality of this presentation and the clarity of your technology is tops.

I would like to see some more talent strut their stuff and post some more video walk arounds! How about you have more from some of the other stores you provide services for, post their videos on dealerELITE as well? I love to watch video demonstrations...

Cheers friend... B.C.

I will ask some of my other clients if it's OK. I'm able to post the Pierre videos as I'm also the GM of those 2 stores. Posting my other clients stuff is a different thing.

Thats wonderful Mike... You're a real trend setter and what an outstanding job you've done in implementing this into your personal stores. Most, including myself would think that everybody has caught onto the power of video, but there are many dealerships with a non active website, let alone video production...

Are you the actual developer of this technology?
