I got into the car business in 2004 and sold cars for 8 months. I seemed to catch on fast so the owner made me the GSM which was an excellent learning experience untill they sold the property and closed the business. Someone had told me, if you have never done finance you don't see the whole picture. So I got a job as a finance manager at a Toyota store. My first month was $727 per copy with good product penetration. Within a few months I was consistantly $900 to $1000 per copy. After 10 months I ended up back out front managing a few stores dealing with salesmen and managers quickly remembering all the responsibility and headaches I didn't have in the box. I'm trying to return to finance but I feel like I can/need to do a better job than I had before. I've never had any training in finance or have worked with any superstar finance people but have heard of the people who do $2000 or better per copy. Another member suggested you could offer me information/tips regarding how I can improve myself? I appreciate any help I can get.

Oh yeah, life is great, on vacation since the F&I Conference in Vegas...visiting my son & family (and 1st baby grandchild)! Lots of things to do when I get back in a week! Thanks for taking the time to ask! How about you? Anything new & exciting in your world?

I am so happy to see you here. What do you think about Ford's new program Dealer Parts Advantage. They are being very tight lipped about it so I do not have all the information, but I can say it is a Win Win for Ford but Not for the Dealers.
