Sales whats it all about?

Some people say they were born sales people. Some say it's because they read sales books , watch tapes and listen to paid speakers. The only one that keeps gaining is the seller of the books , tapes and speakers. What it takes to be a salesperson is heart. It takes commitment to do the job . Long hours , It take learning peoples wants and needs. It take a total interest in helping the customer. The money is not the key it is the want to help ,The pleasure to watch how happy your customer is… Continue

Advertising vs. Marketing

What is the difference and which is right for you?

There is a huge difference between advertising and marketing. Advertising is defined as “the process of building name awareness.” My thoughts…

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG,AS THEY SOMETIMES WILL,

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit -

Rest if you must, but don't you…

Advice For Car Salesmen

I'm often asked by car salesmen for my advice on how they can be more effective at their jobs. So here are a few of my favorite car-selling tips:

  • Know your products.

One of the biggest mistakes that car salesmen make is to not bother to learn their products. It's a lot harder to sell a product if you don't know much about it.…

I AM A SALESMAN

I am proud to be a salesman, because more than any other man, I and millions of others like me, built America.

The man who builds a better mouse trap - or a better anything - would starve to death if he waited for people to beat a pathway to his door.…

Is anyone using Vin Solutions New Status Updates?

I love Vin Solutions! Every week or so they impress me with new
additions and changes that are so incredible sometimes I can't even keep
up. I'm curious if anyone out there is using their New Status Updates.
As far as I'm concerned it's made my job even easier as I can create
custom processes and statuses based on whatever criteria I want and have
been having a field day setting things up. How does everyone else like
it?

A "Real" Sales Pro

Sometimes we are all "Inspired" by someone or something they've done but fail to tell the individual and giving them their "due" recognition.

I make every attempt to avoid this "apathy", as I'm doing now by sharing a quick story of someone I admire and why.

Mr. Jimmy Feltz, Salesperson at Urse Dodge, sold 39 Vechicles in July of this year…

MY WAY - Introduction

With the dealerElite mission in hand I have decided to share some thoughts that may be of value to the dealers, controllers, general managers and other dealership personnel that are members of the community. For thirty-two years I worked in auto dealerships as a controller, consulted, written articles and written a book called …

The More Things Change...

When I started on the sales floor in 1975, things were a little different. No window stickers on trucks, closing rooms, smoking in the offices, drinking in the GSM's office, Demos, draws. The list goes on and on of course.

I really do not want to get labled as an old guy, I am on the cutting edge of Internet and text marketing, and quite a number of my clients have me maintain their CRM's, Web sites or Facebook pages, but now I have seen this business go full circle.

I…

Social Networking, does it REALLY work?

I've been battling an uphill battle for months telling my dealer group

social networking and social media is the future and we need to keep

working it. They want to sell cars NOW, and I get that. However, I've

been having a hard time putting the facts behind the social work I do

for my store. I believe the sale will come, but not soon enough. The big

questions is... does social networking REALLY work to sell more cars?

What are some of the real-world thoughts out… Continue
