How effective are you at interiewing?

✔️ Cultural effectiveness starts with the hiring process.

✔️ Typically, in most dealerships, hiring is conducted based on immediate need, whereas recruiting should always be an ongoing process.

✔️ When hiring is done out of desperation, people are hired who would not necessarily be considered during normal times of employee capacity.

✔️ Shortcuts in the hiring process take place as well.

✔️ The process usually follows a typical pattern:

1)    Where did you work last? Why did you leave after 1/1/2 years? Answer: ABC motors, bad management
2)    Where did you work before? Why did you leave after 1 year? Answer: CDE motors, bad management.
3)    And the job before that? Why did you leave after 1 year? XYZ motors, bad management.

Seriously? What is the common denominator here? Them! Yet, if they do a good job convincing the interviewer that they can sell a lot of cars, guess what? They are hired.
