This is an older video from Grant, Still very True today
Forgive my ignorance of who Grant Cardone is, but I've been living an extremely cloistered existence doing relationship centered marketing for a small group of SoCal dealerships the past 20 years, and the only contact I have with the current happenings in the wonderful world of car sales is DE & ADM. So, my experience with Grant is only through his periodic posts and those times he's referenced by DE & ADM members.
But prior to my self-employment, I sold for 20+ years, the last 10 doing automobiles (which were the easiest selling I ever did), and have been to more motivational seminars and training sessions than you could shake a stick at. Now, being about as close to an objective observer of Grant's style as I'll ever be, he's definitely "got it down," especially for the "young bucks and buck-ettes" trying to simultaneously get a handle on how to sell better and to better understand who they are. Personally, I wish he'd back-off a little on the Red Bulls, but that's who he is, at least for now. I'm sure I'd find him more interesting in say, 20 years, when he's "wound down" a bit, but I will have headed out for the "next plateau" by then.
His above video post, while intense to the max, is just a tad two dimensional for me, but it's hard to cover personal failure in a minute and a half. (He would make a dynamite DI, though.) My gut reaction is that he may have the wrong audience for the "lazy" critique here, as the vast majority of DE & ADM members I've been exposed to seem to be anything but lazy. Granted (and pardon the pun), I'm sure many have their own "devils" holding them back, but participation in those organization means they're dedicated, in varying degrees, to sharing ideas to improve themselves and the selling processes in general. Don't misunderstand me about this. He sorely needed doing what he does, and I'd bet big money he's helped a lot of reps get on the right track, but I believe the thing needed most to succeed in selling, or damned near anything, is a sincere honest love of it. The kind of love that continually self-motivates to do better & better. My only advice to anyone doing it would be to first figure out if the car business is really what you want to do. If not, well, the worst person to ever BS is yourself.

As always, right on target Grant.
Entitlement is something you earn for yourself- Nobody owes it to you.
